It shows that, although still being in difficult economic condition, most of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) countries have started reaping the fruits of economic reforms. However, the impact of these reforms has not yet reaches the majority of the people. The regional integration strategy of SADC, therefore needs to be implemented with vigor to ensure sustained improvement in the human development index of the region.
