The UNDP National Human Development Reports followed the launch of UNDP's global Human Development
Report (HDR) in 1990. National Human Development Reports (NHDR) soon became tools for policy analysis reflecting
people's priorities, strengthening national capacities, engaging national partners, identifying
inequities and measuring progress.
