The Millenium Development Goals in ESCWA Region

This report is constituted of eight chapters, each chapter deals with one of the eight goals separately and outlines the achievements made by the countries of the region in the last decade. It also indicates the challenges that hinder the achievement of the MDGs and highlights the priorities that should be taken into account in the allocation of domestic and international resources. This report also focuses on the prevailing disparities in terms of levels of development based on which some countries will be able to achieve the majority of the goals while others will not be able to achieve any of them.
